Alumnus Peter Schick, chairman of the , has pledged $1.7 million to establisuh an endowed professorship in finance in the College ofBusinesx Administration. The endowment will be knowm as thePeter G. Schick Professorship in Finance at The professorship, which will be the first endowed position for the college's finance area, will be fille through a national search. Moneta Group is a financialo advisory company basedin Clayton, Mo. Also on UMSL established a new partnership with the to creatd the Center for Excellence in Financial Counselintgat UMSL.
The FCE is a nonprofi dedicated to improving thefinancial well-beinb of consumers through the professional development of financial Assorted assets of the foundation totalinhg about $3.25 million will be donatexd to UMSL. The Center for Excellencew in Financial Counseling will be locatedon UMSL'xs South Campus. It is expected to open in July.
