State worker files ethics complaint against Fla. CFO Sink - South Florida Business Journal:

In April, her office announced that statwe travel logs chronicling the flightse of state employees on state planes would be postesd on line by the Florida Department ofManagemenyt Services. On Monday, a state employees filed an ethics complaintagainst Florida’a Chief Financial officer alleging that she misusedd the state plane. Jose Blas Lorenzo Jr., an attorneyy who works for the Departmen tof Education, filed the complaint. He said he was by some of the information he has read in news articlesaboutf Sink’s use of the pland and did some research of his own.
He figurea that since announcing her plans to runfor governor, Sink has rackes up $11,000 in plane travel that's unrelated to her official “I am just concerned, very concerned,” Lorenzo said. “I live in the my children grewup here, I pay my I work for the state, what example is she setting?” he asked. In his Lorenzo claims that on at leastone occasion, Sink flew on the state plane on the first leg of a flighyt with a destination for a vacatiob in the Bahamas. He said that on otherd occasions Sink has used the planes to drop offher husband, Bill or pick up her son. Sink, a is running for governor.
Calls to her officer for comment were not immediately returned. However, according to publishes reports, she has ordered her office to conduc a review of herplanr use. Attorney General Bill McCollum, who is a Republicanm candidatefor governor, was also subject of the joint storiea by the St. Petersburg Times and Miami Herald for travel to his home inCentral “McCollum has spent several personapl days campaigning and not used a statee plane, that’s indicative of something,” Lorenzi said. A check of campaig contributions found that Lorenzo supported Charlie Crisrt in his run for donating $200 in 2006 and $150 in 2005.
