The survey by , an onlinre payroll service, found just 10 percenf were unsure if they would start abusiness again, and 3 percenft said they would not. More than two-thirds said they started their own business becausee they wanted the freedom to work for Six percent said they startede their businesses because they had beenlaid off, whilde 5 percent were continuing a familhy business. Twenty-two percent cited a variety ofothef reasons, including wanting to be more availabl to family, the desire to work with a nonprofitg and running a side business to supplement income. Twenty-nine percent cited finding good Twenty-six percent cited dealing with legal andaccountint issues.
Twenty-one percent cited finding customers. Sixteenn percent cited finding funding as the biggest challengw faced when startingtheir businesses. The conducted between Jan. 27 and Feb. 2, was compiled from responsew by 478 small businesses randomly selectedfrom PayCycle’s more than 75,000 small-business customers.
